Halloween 2008

Last year, we took Nora to the mall to trick-or-treat there. It was a good plan, since she was only a year old and not quite walking on her own yet. (I think it was cold, too). This year, we took her to our downtown Halloween "parade." The kids all walked around downtown and collected candy from the stores, then got to eat free hot dogs, chips and cookies. After that, we took her over to her great-grandma and great-grandpa Hoover's house. We visited with them for some time and then went on down the road. We also stopped at one of my co-worker's homes. She had a special bag made up for Nora. I was really impressed with the way Nora acted after she got used to all the people dressed strangely. She even went up to a few houses on her own. She had a great time--and so did I!

Here are some pictures of her in her costume. She was a flapper from the 1920's. My mom sewed the costume. I think she did a great job! I told her that she was commissioned for costumes from here on out!
